Pentagon Fishkill, NY Planned Power Outage 7/11-7/14

The Pentagon Technologies facility in Fishkill, NY will be performing planned power outages over the July 12th weekend. In order to ensure return of IT services, Pentagon has begun shutting down the Fishkill facility starting on July 11th at 10:00pm PST. This shutdown will effect the following:
NY Reporting
NY Work Request
NY Client Web Site

clients.pen-tec.com Server Outage - July 8, 2008.

On Tuesday morning, July 8, 2008, Pentagon’s primary offsite DNS server experienced an unexpected interruption. This interruption caused the Pentagon websites www.pen-tec.com, clients.pen-tec.com, and blog.pen-tec.com to go down for approximately 12 hours (1 AM PT to 1 PM PT).
During this time, if you attempted to visit a Pentagon website by typing either of the addresses above, you would have encountered a Server Error.
We apologize for the convenience, and are taking steps to ensure such an interruption is avoided in the future.

What to expect:
The mail relays that manage inbound/outbound traffic will be upgraded. Mail from outside Pentagon will continue to be handled normally, however during the upgrade if you send an email to us, please note that an email response from Pentagon may be slower than normal.

Web Server outage - March 8, 2008

On Tuesday morning, March 8, 2008, Pentagon’s primary offsite web server experienced an unexpected interruption. This interruption caused the Pentagon websites www.pen-tec.com and blog.pen-tec.com to go down for approximately 9 hours (4 AM PT to 1 PM PT).
During this time, if you attempted to visit a Pentagon website by typing either of the addresses above, you would have encountered a Server Error.
We apologize for the convenience, and are taking steps to ensure such an interruption is avoided in the future.
All other sites, including the Client Web site and the Pentagon Library, were unaffected during this outage. However, we recognize most people access these sites by typing www.pen-tec.com on their browser, causing the Client site and the Library to appear unreachable. To prevent this occurrence you can bookmark the Client site and the Library at their direct addresses:

Our new status website

Hello clients!
Due to popular demand of Pentagon’s web services, combined with the need to manage communication on the availability of these services, we’ve decided to launch this status website.
Effective immediately, you will be able to check this site to get information on maintenance and unplanned outages within Pentagon’s infrastructure. To some extent this information will include maintenance cycles and unplanned outages of the websites we manage:
- Pentagon Client web access — track order status of parts in service at any of our four Chamber Service facilities (more information here)
- Pentagon Library — secure document management and collaboration with our enterprise wiki
At the same time, we will also be using this website to inform you of general IT issues at Pentagon (such as severe network traffic or Pentagon email).
You can subscribe to this service by clicking on the “subscribe” links to the right, or at the bottom of this page. This link is an RSS feed which you can use in a news reader. Popular newsreaders include Microsoft Office 2007,Google Reader, My Yahoo, Internet Explorer 7, or the Firefox web browser. Alternately, you can bookmark this page and return if you suspect there is a problem.
In addition, we plan to implement notification directly within the websites we manage — so the next time you log in to the Client site or the Library, you may see a little box that informs you of an upcoming maintenance period. The note will point to this site for complete details.
